It took quite a bit longer than I originally expected, but I have now completed the main story of .hack//G.U. Volume 3 Redemption. If there is anything to be said about the finale it is that it was even more spectacular than I had anticipated and gave a decent level of closure to the plot while still managing to keep the mysterious majesty that is at the heart of the story. The message is clear enough--even if you might not understand everything that has happened the journey will go on because it is the nature of the journey to do so. It is not the end, but rather the start of a new adventure. What this mostly boils down to is now that the main story is over there are still plenty of side quests and bonus dungeons to keep me busy if I should desire to witness the special extra cutscenes and the special bonus ending. It is rather fortunate then that the gameplay itself is enough fun that I probably won't be putting the game away anytime soon. I really should be cursing Namco Bandai for making such an outrageously addictive set of games that I can't seem to pull myself away from.

So yeah, I've completed the main story, but that doesn't mean I've finished playing yet. We'll see just how long my patience will hold out when I decide to try to tackle that 100 floor bonus dungeon again. That place is pure evil.
